We’ll be hosting scholars from Bulgaria, Moldova, and Romania. From Romania, it will be Dr. Anca Anton, PhD, from the University of Bucharest. Dr. Anton’s research covers various areas, including the intersection of communication and democratized forms of diplomacy. Her focus revolves around public diplomacy, civil society diplomacy, and digital diplomacy. Moreover, Dr. Anton explores the transformation of the PR/communications profession and industry, with particular attention to freelancers, PR agencies, and corporate communicators, and their interaction with digital and social media. Additionally, she conducts research on digital governmental communication, shedding light on its dynamics and impact. Dr. Anca Anton is a member of prestigious associations such as EUPRERA, ICA, and ECREA. Furthermore, she co-leads the Public Relations Education Network within EUPRERA. From Bulgaria, we have Dr. Ivanka Mavrodieva, a University Professor from Sofia University. She specializes in rhetoric, business communication, public relations, and academic writing. Since 2013, Dr. Mavrodieva has been a member of the Executive Board of the Rhetoric Society of Europe (RSE). Additionally, she serves as the Editor-in-chief of the Rhetoric and Communications Journal and chairs the Executive Board of the Institute of Rhetoric and Communications. We will also be hosting two esteemed researchers from Moldova State University: Dr. Victoria Bulicanu, PhD, Associate Professor, and Dr. Ludmila Rusnac, PhD, Associate Professor. Prof. Victoria Bulicanu holds the position of Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences at Moldova State University. She has authored over 45 scientific publications, both in Moldova and abroad, covering subjects such as media institution management, media advertising, institutional communication, and opinion journalism. Prof. Ludmila Rusnac serves as the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Journalism and Communication Sciences at Moldova State University. She has published around 35 scientific works in Moldova and Romania, with her main professional interests revolving around institutional communication, press campaigns, and public relations.
