From the central part of Europe, we will be hosting three countries: Poland (of course), Germany, and the Czech Republic. The Polish perspective at the event will be presented by Dr. Greta Gober, PhD, from the University of Warsaw. Dr. Greta Gober holds a doctorate in humanities with a specialization in cultural studies. She is a Polish media researcher currently residing and working in Sweden (Stockholm). Her research is dedicated to exploring production culture, communication, and gendered power relations and identities within the media industry. Greta’s invaluable experience includes working for public television in Poland (TVP Olsztyn) from 2005 to 2009. Since then, she has been passionately researching and actively working to combat gender discrimination in the media. Germany will be represented by Andreas Will, a University Professor, and Jonas Weber, MA, from Technische Universität Ilmenau. Professor Will’s research interests lie in media management, with a particular focus on digital media markets and media organizations’ adoption of digital technologies. His research encompasses various theoretical approaches, including media entrepreneurship, organizational theories, and business model research. Jonas Weber is currently pursuing his PhD on the topic of media platforms and has already written his master’s thesis on digital journalism platforms. His research interests span across media management, journalism, media platforms, and future technologies.
