With just a few days left until our event, we would like to introduce you to our host, the University of Warsaw. Established in 1816, it is widely recognized as Poland’s premier university and a leading institution in Europe. The mission set forth by its founders remains as relevant today as it was then: “The University should not only preserve and enhance the nation’s knowledge and skills, keeping them in line with scholarly standards, but also advance and share them for the greater public good.” The University of Warsaw consistently upholds the quality of education, with annual self-assessments indicating a high level of satisfaction among students in their choice of the university and educational programs. The University’s strengths lie in its prestige, opportunities for growth, and the quality of its learning environment. Its alumni include Nobel Prize laureates, presidents, prime ministers, scientists, media figures, and artists. Among its most distinguished graduates are Menachem Begin, Joseph Rotblat, Olga Tokarczuk, Zygmunt Bauman, Władysław Bartoszewski, Ryszard Kapuściński, and even the renowned Fryderyk Chopin. The University of Warsaw is one of the 11 Polish universities featured in the Academic Ranking of World Universities, demonstrating its growing international presence with partnerships established with over 350 foreign institutions from more than 70 countries. It actively engages in scientific collaboration within the 4EU+ Alliance, a partnership founded by the University of Warsaw and seven other European research universities from the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Denmark, Italy, and Switzerland. It is our pleasure to welcome you to the finest university in Poland!
